Ryder Cup team scoring
Two sides for the week, a point a match: every side-against-side round between them goes on one board, live.
- 8+ players
- The week
- Two sides
How it’s scored
- A win is a point, a half is half each. Only finished matches score.
- Match play, four-ball, a shamble, a mystery player, a Russian Stableford — all count, if they are between the two sides.
- A match still out shows its state — 1 UP thru 14 — and is worth nothing yet.
- The running total is the number everybody asks for in the bar.
Worked · 4 of 5 points decided, one match out
Bogey Boys lead by 1
4 of 5 points decided
One up with four to play, and worth nothing yet. A points game between the sides reads +2 pts rather than 3&2.
Handicaps
Each match uses its own format’s allowance: the full gap in singles, 90% in a four-ball, 85% of own handicap in a shamble.

The fine print
Which rounds are left off the board?
Anything that is not a clean side-against-side match: a player with no team set, or both pairs out of the same dressing room. Two sides, and only two.
How does a points game score for the Cup?
More points after the last hole is the win, level is a half each. Its tile reads +2 pts rather than 3&2, because a points game is never closed out early — the app will not tell a side to stop playing a match it could still win.
Can it be switched on mid-trip?
Yes, from Boards on the Leaderboard. Nothing already played is lost; the matches between the two sides are counted from the start.
