Mystery player
Side against side, everyone playing their own ball; on every hole the app draws one mystery player a side and only that card counts.
- 4–8 players
- Own ball
- Two sides
How it’s scored
- Every player scores their own ball in stableford points.
- On each hole one player a side is drawn. Their points are the side’s points for the hole.
- A blob from the man drawn is a blob for the side, whatever the other three did.
- Side total against side total over the round. More wins.
Worked · six holes, one card a side a hole
Who plays off what · full handicap
Handicaps
Full course handicap: one card counts, but a random one, not the best one, and a single card drawn blind is just a card.

The fine print
Before or after?
The organiser chooses whether the mystery player is named on the tee or only once every score on the side is in. After is the default and the version the format is for: nobody knows whose hole it was until the last putt drops, and the app shows nothing that would give it away until then.
How is the draw made?
Off the round itself, one draw per hole per side, so every phone gets the same name with no signal and nobody can roll again. Quinn came up three times in six because every hole is its own draw.
Is it on the Ryder Cup board?
Yes, as a points match: more points after the last hole is the win, level is a half each.
